Halloween: The Game Civilian Stats
Four core stats define each Civilian's strengths, but their real value depends on traits, perks, and team role.
Civilian stats at a glance
Stats are role indicators, not a simple power score. A high number is valuable only when your decisions create opportunities to use it. Signature Traits, starting items, Perk Cards, team composition, and randomized objectives can make two similar-looking profiles play differently.
| Stat | Official gameplay areas | Practical team job |
|---|---|---|
| Athleticism | Movement on foot or by bike | Scout, connect teammates, move between discoveries |
| Personality | Persuasion, police contact, followers, Fear and Stalk resistance | Organize residents and stabilize pressure |
| Resourcefulness | Repairs, environmental awareness, vehicles, firearms | Advance item-based objectives and operate equipment |
| Capability | Vigor, melee weapons, throwable household items | Create safe disruption and rescue windows |
Athleticism
Officially, Athleticism determines how quickly and efficiently a Civilian moves through Haddonfield on foot or by bike. It helps a scout cover ground, lets an objective carrier connect discoveries, and can reduce the time a separated player spends exposed between useful locations.
Athleticism does not make careless movement safe. Running into open streets can reveal a route, separate you from help, or bring a key item into Michael's pressure. Movement has the most value when it moves information, residents, equipment, or support to the right place.
Choose Athleticism when you enjoy reconnaissance and route connection. Pair it with a Trait and deck that reward information, survival, or team mobility rather than using speed as an excuse to play alone.
Personality
Personality has the broadest official description. It affects a Civilian's ability to convince residents, alert the authorities, and command additional followers. It also determines Fear and Stalk resistances.
That makes Personality both an objective stat and a pressure-management stat. A Personality specialist can help turn isolated NPC residents into calls, companions, or safer movement options. Because residents and police are part of the wider match state, this contribution may matter even when it does not appear as a dramatic chase moment.
Choose Personality if you reliably talk to residents, coordinate followers, and work toward police pressure. Do not choose it and then ignore every resident marker you find.
Resourcefulness
Resourcefulness determines repair expertise, environmental awareness, and competence when operating motor vehicles or firearms. It is the clearest stat for a player who enjoys turning discoveries into practical progress.
The important word is “operating,” not “owning.” Finding a useful item does not finish an objective. A Resourcefulness player should communicate what was found, avoid carrying every critical object at once, and choose an escape opportunity based on the current match instead of forcing a predetermined plan.
Choose Resourcefulness when you like repairs, vehicles, firearm utility, and reading the environment. Because item and escape locations change, adaptability matters as much as the displayed value.
Capability
Capability represents a Civilian's overall vigor and prowess with melee weapons or throwable household items. It supports confrontation, but Halloween is not a conventional brawler. Official material is explicit that Michael cannot be killed.
The best use of Capability is controlled disruption: protect a teammate, interrupt an execution opportunity, create time around a noisy escape, or help the group leave. Chasing Michael for damage while objectives stall turns a useful stat into wasted risk.
Choose Capability when you can stay disciplined under pressure. Bring the right tool to the right moment, create a window, and disengage.
How to compare stat profiles
Use a three-step comparison. First, name the character's strongest stat and the job it suggests. Second, read the exact Signature Trait and ask whether it reinforces that job or creates a hybrid. Third, inspect the starting item and Perk Deck for a reliable opening.
| Profile question | Good sign | Warning sign |
|---|---|---|
| What is the primary job? | One or two stats point to a clear role | You cannot explain what you will do first |
| Does the Trait fit? | Its trigger occurs during your normal job | It requires behavior you usually avoid |
| Does the deck reinforce it? | Cards solve repeatable friction in the role | Cards attempt to patch every weakness |
| Does the team need it? | The job fills a missing objective | Several players duplicate the same task |
The retained official sources do not include a complete current numerical table for all Civilians. This guide therefore explains verified stat functions without inventing character totals. Use the current in-game loadout screen for named comparisons and recheck after balance updates.
Stats, Traits, and Perks
Stats establish the baseline. A Signature Trait gives the character a unique rule or advantage. Starting items affect the opening, while Perk Cards let you shape a deck using cards earned through progression.
A coherent build usually amplifies a strength. For example, a resident-support profile benefits when the Trait, starting item, and deck make resident work more dependable. Trying to turn a low-stat specialist into a different specialist can consume every deck choice without creating a real advantage.
Common stat mistakes
- Calling Athleticism the only survival stat and overlooking Personality's Fear and Stalk resistance.
- Treating Capability as permission to fight Michael continuously.
- Hoarding key items because Resourcefulness is high instead of coordinating progress.
- Reading a balanced profile as “bad” when it may be easier for a first match.
- Using old screenshots as current numbers after an update.
- Comparing a base character and a Deluxe character by access rather than gameplay.
Civilian stat questions
What are the four Civilian stats?
Athleticism, Personality, Resourcefulness, and Capability are the four stats officially defined for playable Civilians.
Which stat helps contact police?
Personality affects a Civilian's ability to alert authorities, as well as persuade residents and command additional followers.
Which stat helps with cars and repairs?
Resourcefulness covers repair expertise and competence with motor vehicles; it also affects environmental awareness and firearm use.
Does Capability let Civilians kill Michael?
No. Capability improves vigor and use of melee or throwable items, but official material says Michael cannot be killed. Use combat to create time.
Where are exact stats for every character?
Check the current in-game character loadout. The retained official web articles define the systems but do not provide a complete current numerical roster table.
